A large, warm, all-enveloping elegant women’s stole. Made of Merino wool and silk, it is both soft to the touch and comfortable to wear. Its original design comprised of flowers made to look as if they were done in water color is printed in black outlines on a background made up of shades of turquoise and purple. A perfect warm, luminous color combination to brighten up dark winters. Small fringes create a very clean finish for the ends of the stole, and the lengths are carefully finished with a special hem. This stole is 100% made in our workshop in Lyon, France.
INSPIRATION

Inspired by a water color painting of flowers that are blended together rather than being strictly delineated, this very poetic motif is both delicate and original. The large, dream-like flowers are realized in warm hues so as to maintain the look of being painted by hand, with the outlines being like pencil sketches on a purple and turquoise shaded background.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This scarf is perfect for pairing with a black, anthracite, or marine blue coat, or can be worn as a shawl together with a more dressed-up outfit. It would be perfect to wear with your special black dress on Christmas Day. This stole lends any outfit a touch of elegance. To give it more relaxed look, wear it wrapped around your neck, for pairing with parkas, jackets, or coats in warm colors as you face winter cold snaps.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a stole made of wool and silk, we advise washing by hand in tepid or cold water with a special wool detergent. Do not let it soak for too long. To dry, put the scarf in a cotton towel to soak up the excess water, but do not wring it out or twist it. Then lay the scarf flat to dry. You can restore the scarf’s softness and delicate touch by ironing on medium low with the vapor function. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf involves the interweaving of silk warp thread with Merino wool weft thread, utilizing a specially curated pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
